Drama competition in Mullingar!

This week on Tuesday we went to Mullingar (land of Niall wew) in the arts center for our drama competition. At the beginning of the year we chose what we wanted our play to be about, our play is called "Schizophrenia" and its about the effects the mental illness has on the person who has it and the people around them.




After registration in the hall we got on the buses and headed off for Mullingar.We arrived after an hour or so and got prepared for our performance and practiced. I was the lighting and sounds person so I had to go up the the lighting and sound man and told him what lighting we wanted and I controlled the sound effects (stressful) but in the end we did a great performance and got congratulated by the judge, we find out who got into the second stage of the competition soon.

After the performance we watched a few more plays and then went to McDonalds, and then we wandered around Mullingar for a while. We then went back to the center and watched one last play and then it was time to go home. It was a great experience seeing behind the scenes of the plays and what goes into putting a play on the stage.

I haven't blogged in years, oops. A lot has happened, we went to see elf the musical in the bord gais energy theatre before we got our christmas holidays, it was very good. We are busy with our mini companies, we are finishing off our report. We are also busy preparing for going to Mullingar for a TY drama competition on Tuesday.
